Responsibilities
Coordinate and observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
Document all on-site observations of construction progress such as equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports when required
Proactively communicate with the contractor and the client to progress the project in a timely manner to meet the project goals
Qualification
Required
NICET III-IV Certification or Valid Professional Engineers license in the State of New Jersey is required
7+ years of experience in construction inspection
Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications, as well as familiarity with inspection tools and software
Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed
Ability to drive to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day
Strong organization and communication skills
Valid Driver's License
Preferred
EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus
ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 Preferred
Experience with inspection of Federal-aid projects and relevant certifications is not required but is a plus
Experience with bridge construction is a plus
Experience with NJTA Capex or NJDOT Site Manager is not required but is a plus
