Responsibilities

Understand methanol demand drivers, gather and analyze economic data/forecast to make predictions

Manage the North America monthly demand forecast process

Reconcile Methanex sales forecast with demand data. Identify segment trends in support of sales strategy formulation and execution

Maintain supply and demand assumptions in Methanex’s market intelligence system (MIS) and other databases, including intelligence on operating capability and economics

Gather, analyze, and present North America methanol trade statistics, including integration of exports into Trade Flows report. Distribute quarterly competitive updates, including analysis of trade data and reconciliation of implied demand figures

Competitive analysis to support the understanding and prediction of competitor strategies

Collect and summarize competitive information on new methanol projects and report regularly

Support the monthly pricing process through consolidation of pricing feedback and posting monthly price
