Responsibilities
Complete the scale technician onboarding program, which includes training/mentoring to learn the fundamentals of the scale technician trade and professional expectations
Learn about scale products and mechanical/electrical components in the scale industry
Use company vehicles, specialized equipment, and tools to service, calibrate and repair a customer’s weighing equipment
Support customers with on-the-job skills
Attend regular meetings with your manager and mentor to track learning progress
Maintain a clean and professional attitude and image
Complete and adhere to all assigned safety training
Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License Class B (CDL B)
Pass a final exam to advance to a Certified Scale Technician (CST)
Qualification
Required
Experience with mechanical or electrical maintenance
Highly motivated to learn a new trade
Positive work ethic and a customer-focused mindset
Team-oriented and willing to adapt to change
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Ability to follow all safety rules and wear proper safety equipment
Capable of performing duties that involve physical exertion such as lifting at least 50 pounds repetitively
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Knowledge of basic computer-related skills such as using the internet, mobile devices, and e-mail software
High school diploma or GED
Preferred
Have or pursuing a CDL Class B
