Responsibilities
Develop Ericsson’s physical design methodology
Collaborate with cross functional teams to architect solutions targeting power, performance and area (PPA)
Participate in defining flows, methods, select tools, drive continual improvement, and closure of issues
Work with advanced process node technology
Collaborate with EDA vendors on developing and deploying next generation methodologies
Partner with EDA vendors to triage and resolve tool issues
Write custom python/tcl scripts for utilities and reporting
Mentor junior engineers
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Physical Design with focus on synthesis, floorplanning, placement, clocking and route methodology
Expertise in industry standard physical design tools such as Fusion Compiler or Innovus
Experience with techniques targeting leakage and dynamic power
Proficiency in tcl and python scripting
Leadership skills and ability to work with diverse teams across the globe
Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills, with ability to communicate complex technical subjects
Bachelors/Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
