BYD North America is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager for their Material Handling Business to achieve aggressive sales targets within the Eastern Region. The role involves collaborating with leadership, managing dealer relationships, and developing sales strategies to grow the BYD Forklift Market.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with BYD Leadership to establish and execute sales targets for the region
Instills confidence with dealer management and resolves conflicts effectively
Team player. Communicates and works effectively with peers and broader BYD team
Forecast and report monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
Develop specific plans to ensure short-term and long-term growth
Develop territory sales and marketing strategies
Analyze market data to find the most effective sales methods
Communicate with customers to understand concerns and provide solutions
Identify new sales opportunities through market research
Present products and services to customers and project partners
Participate in industry events (e.g. trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships
Provides dealer training to support sales forecast achievement
Participates and supports special projects from time to time as requested by manager
Monitor competition within assigned region

Required

Proven sales or customer support experience in the forklift, material handling equipment, or related industrial sector
Ability to coordinate with many different stakeholders in complex technical sales
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple large accounts simultaneously
Strong knowledge of dealer management and channel sales
Excellent communication skills with high levels of technical, financial, and commercial aptitude
Self-motivated, proactive, and result oriented
Ability to travel frequently within the U.S. to meet dealers and customers

Preferred

3-5 Years of Experience, technical sales and/or sales and marketing preferred
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
