Datum Technologies Group is seeking a NVH Propulsion Performance Engineer to lead NVH activities on propulsion systems across assigned programs. The role involves ensuring NVH assessments are completed, supporting integration activities, and managing process improvements for operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead NVH activities on propulsion systems (conventional and/or electrified) across assigned programs
Ensure NVH assessments are completed at each program gate and coordinate with release teams to implement NVH enablers into final designs
Support NVH integration activities to ensure propulsion systems meet vehicle-level NVH targets
Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations for management reviews
Manage Value Optimization (VO) activities while maintaining intended NVH characteristics at both product and vehicle levels
Serve as the liaison between the Propulsion System organization and Vehicle organization regarding system-level NVH attributes
Oversee and drive process improvements to enhance operational and economic efficiency

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field from an ABET-accredited university
8+ years of NVH engineering experience
Strong understanding of propulsion and vehicle system NVH
Hands-on automotive NVH experience with conventional and hybrid ICE propulsion systems, electric motors, gearboxes, and power inverter modules
Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in NVH measurement tools such as LMS Test.Lab, HEAD Acoustics Artemis, Rotec, Mueller-BBM, MATLAB, and Simulink
Experience with Sound pressure measurements per SAE J1074
Experience with Sound intensity and sound power measurements per ISO 3744 & 3745
Experience with Vehicle interior noise measurements per SAE J336
Experience with Sound quality measurement and analysis
Experience with NVH root-cause analysis including Transfer Path Analysis, Modal Analysis, and Angle Domain Analysis
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve propulsion system NVH issues (conventional, hybrid ICE, electric motors, gearboxes, inverter modules)
Working knowledge of digital signal processing (FFT), electronic control modules (ECMs), and modern CAN communication protocols

Preferred

Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field from an ABET-accredited university
Prior experience leading product development within an automotive OEM
Highly adaptable, with the ability to embrace change in a fast-paced environment
