Responsibilities
Managing the Monthly and Quarterly AvE process, reviewing the outputs and communicating these to actuarial management and North America Specialty UW leads
Using judgement to propose and support decisions of IBNR responses as part of the quarterly financial close
Completing regulatory requirements in relation to the Year End financials including being the point person for annual audit reviews, independent reserve reviews, internal audit and SOX reviews for North America Specialty products
Supporting the strong team culture of innovation by supporting improvements to processes, testing of new ideas and providing guidance and feedback on the analyst suggestions
Running team meetings to ensure cross-learning amongst the analysts and to keep good organization of multiple workstreams each with their own deadlines
Qualification
Required
General Insurance Reserving Experience, ideally ACAS or FCAS certified
Managerial Experience given strict deadlines relating to the financial reporting timelines
Good communication skills as this is a role with multiple stakeholders within Actuarial and many other departments
