BUS TECH PROGRAMMER 4
Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is the largest industrial employer in Virginia and specializes in designing and building U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines. They are seeking a Bus Tech Programmer 4 to analyze, program, configure, test, and implement software applications to support business objectives, while also collaborating with user groups to enhance business processes.

Responsibilities
Analyze, program, configure, test and implement cloud or on-premise software applications in support of business objectives
May be responsible for part of or all aspects of the application/system life cycle as it relates to citizen development, including coordination with user groups to identify solutions that improve business processes, implementing changes, training, other user-focused activities and prepares specifications
Works with the enterprise software development organization as a citizen developer to plan, manage and implement the installation of application/system upgrades, integrations and overall maintenance of system changes
Align the organization’s IT infrastructure with business processes/data to improve the efficiency & productivity of operations and research/recommend changes in application/system environment through internal customization and identify opportunities for increased productivity cost reduction
Develop programming scripts to automate functionality of business applications and conduct user training as necessary
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree for Information Technology Related Positions Only: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience, High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience, High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience, A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
Preferred
Familiarity with ShareGate, PowerBi, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and external data integrations
Experience with SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online migrations and upgrades
Ability to be a consultative team lead in regards to SharePoint Online architecture and governance practices
