Responsibilities
Concept Development: Create original design concepts for products, environments, experiences, or communications not covered by traditional design roles
Research and Trend Analysis: Study user needs, market trends, and materials to inform design solutions
Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes to evaluate functionality, aesthetics, or usability
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with engineers, marketers, developers, or clients to bring ideas from concept to production
Presentation and Communication: Create visual presentations and pitch ideas to stakeholders
Technical Documentation: Prepare drawings, specifications, or models needed for production or implementation
Problem Solving and Innovation: Address unique design challenges in areas like systems design, experience design, or specialized industrial applications
Use of Specialized Software: Employ CAD, 3D modeling, UX tools, or other software tailored to the specific design field
Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their project requirements
Project Management: Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure all projects comply with building codes and safety regulations
3D Modeling: Utilize design software to create 3D models and renderings that visually represent the proposed designs
Site Visits: Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and confirm adherence to design plans
Problem Solving: Address any design-related issues or modifications that arise during the project. Modify plans as necessary to accommodate unforeseen challenges
Qualification
Required
Work Experience and BA Degree in Art Education and /or Design are Required
