Responsibilities

Develop and manage a comprehensive preferred supplier network across categories, contributing to robust category plans
Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics and benefits tracking to demonstrate the ongoing value of procurement initiatives
Build strong stakeholder relationships to influence behaviors and ensure Procurement is appropriately engaged in all relevant sourcing activities
Support strategic savings projects—including RFPs, RFIs, and direct negotiations—under the guidance of department leadership
Analyze, consolidate, and rationalize historical spend data within assigned categories to inform sourcing strategies
Serve as the subject matter expert on strategic procurement procedures for your categories and act as the primary resource for internal stakeholders
Develop and deliver clear communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed of key procurement activities and outcomes
Assist in preparing category-level forecasts and financial performance reports to support planning and decision-making
Implement robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes, ensuring governance, metrics, and continuous improvement actions are in place

Required

Strong aptitude for data analytics tools and methodologies; comfortable working with raw datasets
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
Excellent listening skills with the ability to focus on issues critical to stakeholders
Proven ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
Sharp, detail-oriented thinker with a proactive and tenacious approach to problem-solving
Strong commitment to meeting and exceeding stakeholder expectations
Familiarity with contracts and contract negotiation processes
Ability to prepare detailed, error-free analyses and present findings clearly and concisely

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 0–2 years of related professional experience preferred
Experience with business analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
Exposure to the construction industry is advantageous
