Engineer II - Manufacturing

Advanced Energy is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of precision power conversion solutions. The Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements, and maintains methods and processes for manufacturing parts and collaborates with various engineering teams to ensure successful product launches and improvements in product performance.

Responsibilities

Performs an integral role on Product Design teams to drive designs that meet all cost and quality goals
Reviews product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods
Performs Design for Manufacturability analysis on new products
Estimates manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
Takes a leadership role in driving Continuous Improvement Projects to elevate product performance in manufacturing
Implements manufacturing-industry best known methods in support of Continuous Improvement Projects to increase efficiency and effectivity of Production
Analyzes work content for distribution to workcenters and capacity requirements
Recommends and prepares changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate manufacturing

Required

Must have strong problem-solving attributes
Skilled at communicating with and influencing design teams, vendors, and customers
Works under general supervision
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
3+ years of relevant design/development team and/or manufacturing support
Bachelors Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline

Preferred

6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology
