Responsibilities

Power System Studies: Conduct and review detailed AC/DC calculations using ETAP, including short circuit, voltage drop, arc-flash, motor starting, and relay coordination
Procurement & Vendor Support: Develop and review equipment specifications. Participate in bid evaluations and manage vendor Q&A tracking
Design Development: Prepare scoping documents and perform constructability reviews. Design and review lighting, communications, and security systems
Collaboration & Client Interface: Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Engage with clients and implementation personnel
Travel: Visit client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and construction coordination

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
5+ years in electrical system design for industrial or nuclear power plant projects
Proficient in selecting equipment and materials
Experienced in preparing engineering design packages, calculations, and specifications
Skilled in designing low and medium voltage distribution systems (e.g., transformers, generators, motors, relays)
Strong written and verbal communication
Highly detail-oriented
PE license or ability to obtain
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
