Responsibilities

Work on Prod, DR, Stage, Dev and QA DB2 environments and coordinating with Application team for the Bi-weekly & Monthly releases
Performing various database backups and restores as per backup and retention policy
Ensuring database security using db2 native tools like encryption of data at rest and motion
Working with Data architects in implementing various data security initiatives
Involved in Incident management, Problem management, Service management and with the help of this, reduce alerts and efforts by improving ticket resolution quality
Must have experience on Standalone, DPF(Db2 warehouse) and HADR servers & responsible for maintaining the health of databases and servers
Must have good hands-on experience on Q-Replication and IBM infosphere Change Data Capture(CDC) replication
Must have good hands-on experience on database performance monitoring and performance tuning
Must have good hands-on experience on writing shell scripts
Knowledge on Database security(Native Encryption and RCAC)
Experience in creating database workload policies based on historical and current database workloads(WLM)

Required

At least 5 years of experience as DB2 DBA(LUWUDB)
