El Paso Water is a civil service organization dedicated to providing water services to the city. They are seeking a Senior Office Assistant to perform a variety of clerical tasks, assist city personnel and the public, and maintain records and files.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist city personnel, officials and the public in person and over the telephone

Prepare and edit specialized documents and correspondence for review

Review and enter sensitive or complex data, maintain records and files, databases and record keeping sources

Provide computer assistance to users

Perform a broad variety of related office clerical activities and support functions

Receive, review and sort mail, interoffice correspondence, packages and other communications

May supervise assigned small staff

Required

A High School diploma or GED, or higher, and two (2) years office support experience

Some positions may require a Texas Class “C” Driver's License or equivalent from another state

Ability to type at least 35 words per minute (wpm)

Applicants with foreign diplomas, transcripts, and degrees must have all documents translated and evaluated by an agency of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) prior to submitting them to the Human Resources Department
