Social Studies Companion Curriculum Writer, Grades K–6, IA
NovoDia is seeking an experienced subject matter expert to support the development of a custom companion curriculum focused on targeted language development and academic literacy. The role involves creating high-quality, standards-aligned Social Studies lessons for grades K–6 that prioritize high-impact topics and ensure culturally responsive content.

Responsibilities
Write high-quality, standards-aligned Social Studies lessons for grades K–6 that prioritize high-impact topics
Design lessons and activities that function smoothly in both classroom and virtual settings with clear, low-lift teacher directions
Embed differentiation and accessibility supports throughout, aligned to UDL and inclusive practices
Ensure culturally responsive content that reflects diverse perspectives and is age-appropriate for elementary learners
Participate in co-design sessions with educator stakeholders and revise materials based on feedback
Collaborate with internal editorial and production teams to meet quality expectations and delivery milestones through January 30, 2026
Support follow-on annual updates as needed, including limited activity additions or modifications
Qualification
Required
Teaching, coaching, or curriculum design experience in elementary Social Studies or closely related elementary content work
Curriculum writing experience for grades K–6, including standards alignment and scope and sequence planning
Ability to write clear, student-friendly text and precise teacher directions
Strong command of differentiation, accessibility, and UDL-aligned scaffolding for diverse learners
Comfort working in digital curriculum environments and designing for Google Classroom-compatible delivery
Reliability, clarity, and responsiveness to feedback in a collaborative development process
