Diversity Nexus is a company seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to enhance their data management capabilities. The role involves translating data models into optimized database objects, developing data transformation processes, and collaborating with data architects to meet data requirements.

Responsibilities

Translate data models into efficient and optimized database objects in accordance with established governance and naming conventions
Develop and implement data transformation and loading process to populate and maintain data within the created tables and views
Collaborate with data architects and tech leads to understand data requirements and translate them into logical data model
Document table/view definitions into Alation and enable data quality checks for required tables/views
Optimize database performance by identifying and implementing improvements to queries, indexing, and table structures

Qualification

Required

Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle or Snowflake
Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies
Experience with Python for Data Processing
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and techniques
Experience in developing data applications in Cloud (AWS)
Understanding of data governance principles and best practices
Proven experience in understanding existing data model and develop the data objects
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred

Experience with Business Intelligence like Tableau and Dashboards is a plus
Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, GitHub)
