Executive Director
YMCA of the Greater Montgomery is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Executive Director will lead the Wetumpka Family YMCA, managing a diverse range of programs and a $1M+ budget while fostering community engagement and wellness.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to propel our YMCA forward, embracing upcoming expansions and enhancing community engagement
Cultivate relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to expand our impact and integrate our YMCA more deeply into the community
Guide and support a passionate team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, enthusiasm, and growth
Oversee the delivery of diverse programs such as Afterschool, Summer Camp, Youth Sports, and Active Older Adults, ensuring they meet community needs and boost member participation
Implement strategies for membership growth, fundraising, and program expansion, managing $1M+ annual budget and working towards an annual campaign goal of $60,000 from 150 donors
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in human services, business, social services or equivalent
Five or more years of professional experience in the YMCA or another nonprofit preferred
Knowledge and experience in all aspects of operations, including staff supervision and development, successful membership practices, quality program development and implementation, volunteerism, facility and property management, and sound financial practices
Understanding of the mission and cause of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community; track record of building authentic, constructive relationships with others
Ability to handle multiple demands and priorities and achieve organizational objectives
CPR/First Aid and AED certification required within 30 days of employment
Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Abuse Prevention training required within 30 days of employment
Preferred
YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification preferred
Experience in Aquatics and Youth Development preferred
Experience in growing membership and AOA programs preferred
