The role involves designing mechanical systems, performing calculations, and supporting engineers on various projects.

Responsibilities
Designs mechanical equipment, systems and processes
Performs calculations and analyses to ensure suitability of design
Solves problems related to the assembly, repair and test of environmental control systems
Under general supervision, performs assignments which involve responsibility for a secondary project or a part of a major project
May give direction to Drafters/Designers
Works with colleagues in the department and in other departments
Writes reports as required
Presents designs to peers, other engineers and customers
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
BSME from accredited college experience in designing mechanical components/subsystems and applying ASME Y14.5M
Works under constant supervision
Performs assignments of mild complexity and assists other Engineers
Knowledge of drawing and drafting standards
Knowledge of applied thermodynamics and mechanical design
Preferred
Experience in the development of military or aerospace equipment is a strong plus
Understanding of military specifications, environmental specifications, and test specifications a plus
Experience with electrical and electrical circuits and control theory a plus
Hands-on test and hardware experience is desired
