Responsibilities
Develop case organization protocols
Partner with case teams and other colleagues to address client needs
Provide on-site support at trial (including out of state)
Conduct cite checks on both federal and state documents including substantive review for content
Conduct legal research on a broad variety of items including procedural requirements, tracking court decisions, and other related topics
Provide motion and deposition support such as prepare shell documents, deposition notices, subpoenas, and declarations. Also manage transcript databases, exhibits, interviews, and filings
Implement post-matter closing instructions
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
Paralegal Certification (California Business and Professional Code Sect. 6450 compliant)
10+ years of relevant experience
High-level project management experience leading a support team at trial
Proficient with typical legal support software: Westlaw, Lexis, Relativity (or similar), CaseNotebook (or similar), Billing tools and case management tools
Expert ability to draft common litigation forms and edit legal documents
Expert cite-checking skills and the ability to produce accurate and timely cite-checks
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
