Senior Business Development Manager – Data Center

Scalence L.L.C. is a company focused on growth strategies within the data center market. The Senior Business Development Manager will lead efforts to forge customer relationships, uncover new business opportunities, and support product and market development initiatives.

Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Build and fortify relationships with existing customers to elevate engagement and share of wallet
Identify, connect with, and expand new customer accounts through targeted outreach and strategic partnerships
Collaborate with key decision-makers across engineering, procurement, and operations functions
Spearhead and support market development activities specific to the data center segment
Identify high-potential market opportunities and strategic areas for product line expansion
Collaborate internally to align product offerings with market needs and customer feedback
Drive new business generation within the data center ecosystem, including hyperscale, colocation, OEM, and integrators
Partner with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and campaigns tailored to the data center industry
Create compelling value propositions, technical presentations, and sales tools for customers
Exhibit consultative selling skills with custom engineered and manufacturing solutions
Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership to shape commercial strategy and product development
Support the Quality Management System in accordance with documented procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent field required
10 years in Business Development, Market Development, or Sales roles
Minimum 5 years supporting customers in the Data Center industry
Proven ability to secure new business and articulate past wins
Strong track record of selling custom engineered or technical products
Experience developing and executing formal account development plans
Proven success growing sales across multiple industries
Strong existing network within OEMs, integrators, or end-users in the data center space
Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Technical aptitude to understand engineered plastic components and mechanical systems used in data centers
High level of self-motivation and a hunter mentality
Data-driven decision-making and strong commitment to customer service
Excellent negotiation skills
Proficiency with Client Office Suite
