Implementation Engineer (IAM Products)

Graystone Group is seeking a highly motivated Implementation Engineer (IAM Product) to join their client’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) product team. This role is critical to the successful deployment, integration, and operationalization of the client’s IAM solution across complex enterprise and cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

Partner with clients to implement and configure the IAM product according to business, security, and compliance requirements
Lead end-to-end deployment efforts across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, including system setup, authentication flows, directory integrations, access provisioning, and container-based deployments
Deploy, configure, and support IAM components running in Docker and Kubernetes environments, including assisting with container configuration, environment variables, secrets management, and scaling considerations
Develop and maintain integration solutions with identity providers (IdPs), directories (Active Directory, Azure AD), and third-party applications using protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM
Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and customer infrastructure teams to ensure IAM services integrate cleanly with Kubernetes clusters, ingress controllers, load balancers, and CI/CD pipelines
Write and maintain implementation scripts, tools, and technical documentation to support repeatable, automated, and scalable deployments
Provide expert troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for technical issues during implementation, including container runtime, networking, and configuration issues
Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure the solution meets customer expectations and aligns with security and cloud-native best practices
Participate in client meetings, technical workshops, and go-live support activities
Support clients during UAT and post-deployment stabilization

Required

3+ years of experience in software implementation, systems engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, ideally with IAM platforms such as Okta, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, SailPoint, or similar solutions
Strong knowledge of identity federation, authentication, authorization, and access lifecycle management
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, modern integration patterns, and distributed systems
Hands-on experience with directory services including LDAP, Active Directory, and Azure AD
Solid understanding of SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, and provisioning standards such as SCIM
Practical experience working with containerized application environments, including Docker images, container configuration, and Kubernetes-based deployments
Experience supporting IAM or security services in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
