Responsibilities

Administer, direct work, manage and coordinate the complex electronic customer data Salesforce system used to manage customer, licensing and inspection data at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture
Administer day-to-day Salesforce platform activities such as user management, security and data settings, system and workflow configurations and related reports and documentation
Provide lead technical support for MDA users
Perform data and system testing for quality assurance and functionality
Conduct work activities related to the research, develop and testing of new features and functionality
Design and deliver training to agency-wide staff and Salesforce users, as appropriate to their roles and responsibilities

Required

Three (3) years experience working with the administration of Salesforce and customer data management, including but not limited to analysis, quality assurance, reporting or auditing
Project management and operational management skills sufficient to lead implementation of complex projects and manage them to successful completion
Analytical skills sufficient to review complex program data, identify trends, and prepare reports that help leadership monitor progress and ensure compliance with regulations
Communication skills in speaking, reading and writing, sufficient to understand very technical language and convey concepts, instructions and core concepts in plain language to individuals without strong technical skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, both within MDA and with external contacts
Customer service skills sufficient to assist staff with technical problems, and to act as a liaison between staff and MNIT staff when necessary to resolve a problem
The ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment

Preferred

Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) certification
A bachelor's degree in information systems management/development, Computers/Computer Technology, Data Analytics or another related field
Experience using Jira and Confluence
Experience working in Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, fields, workflows, and security settings
Experience with Salesforce automation tools (Flow, Process Builder, Workflow Rules)
Additional Salesforce Certifications (Platform App Builder, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.)
Experience working with Salesforce Lightning Platform and Lightning Experience
