Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive data quality frameworks, standards, and procedures across all investment data domains

Oversee data quality monitoring and validation processes, ensuring timely identification and resolution of data discrepancies

Lead root cause analysis of data issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Establish and track key data quality metrics, reporting on data quality performance to senior management

Analyze existing data operations workflows and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation

Implement process improvements and best practices to streamline data acquisition, processing, and distribution

Evaluate and recommend new data management tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and data quality

Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including portfolio managers, traders, risk managers, and technology teams, to understand their data needs and ensure data quality meets their requirements

Partner with teams to ensure adherence to data policies and standards

Maintain a deep understanding of investment data domains, including market data, security master data, portfolio holdings, transactions, and performance data

Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to investment data management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field

10+ years of experience in a data operations or data analysis role within the investment management industry

Proven track record of leading and mentoring teams

Strong understanding of financial instruments, investment management workflows, and data governance principles

Advanced proficiency in SQL and data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R)

Experience with data quality tools, data lineage tracking, and metadata management

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure
