Responsibilities

Drafting utility and design patent applications in: Computer/electronics arts (e.g., software, AI/ML/LLMs, telecommunications, integrated circuits, semiconductors, audio processing, batteries and charging systems, power generation, etc.)

Drafting utility and design patent applications in: Mechanical/electromechanical arts (e.g., aerospace, space, consumer products, medical devices, etc.)

Prosecuting patent applications

Qualification

Required

3 or more years of focused experience in drafting utility and design patent applications in computer/electronics arts

3 or more years of focused experience in drafting utility and design patent applications in mechanical/electromechanical arts

Prosecuting patent applications

Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office

If an attorney, admitted to practice in California

Strong experience drafting complex patent applications in any of the technical areas listed

Excellent academic credentials

Comfortable working directly with clients

Strong writing and analytical skills

Preferred

Degree or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering and/or computer science

Degrees in mechanical engineering or other relevant experience
