The role involves performing technical procedures, supervising the care of research mice, and assisting with experimental procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities
Supervise the care of research mice; collect animal tissues and specimens for laboratory analysis. Perform dissections and minor animal surgery
Assist senior laboratory personnel with carrying out experimental procedures and recommend modifications as needed
Perform specialized tests and procedures using complex equipment
Procure/order supplies and materials needed to conduct research
Make statistical calculations, analyze data, and prepare reports summarizing results
Conduct literature reviews to obtain abstracts and information to be utilized in research
Qualification
Required
1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience)
Research Technician, I: Requires little to no related experience
