Project Manager - Steam Turbine Modifications

Responsibilities
The Project Manager role usually starts with participation in the tendering phase and assisting in contract formulation and project requirements
Leading the development of project plans to assure effective execution by the project team and supervising progress to ensure compliance with the pre-determined execution plan
Coordinating preparation and execution of engineering schedules
Coordinate project finances by tracking budget vs. actuals, preparing progress billings, chasing customer payments, and approving payments to suppliers
Managing project evaluations, acceptance testing, completion of all close-out documentation such as As-built drawings, system operating instructions, transfers or excess materials, billings, collections, and payments, and all project records to ensure successful project execution
Proactively handling management of Contract, Claim, and Risk, developing opportunities for Change orders, and negotiating with customers
Identifying potential problems and devising contingency plans
Developing and delivering monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal/external customers
Qualification
Required
Mechanical/Production engineering degree required
8+ years project management experience, including P&L oversight, leading teams
Steam Turbine experience a huge PLUS
Excellent leadership, technical, oral, written, communication, and presentation skills
Experience in running Steam Turbine projects
Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Word and Excel
Must possess influence skills to deal effectively within a matrix reporting structure
20% travel- PM may need to travel to project sites to participate in customer meetings, customer witness points, and project evaluations
Must have or acquire after hiring a PM@Siemens, PMP, or IPMA Certification
This requirement will transition to IPMA Certification by 2026
The candidate will be encouraged to complete the IPMA Certification by the due date
