Responsibilities
Oversee a team that uniquely identifies, tracks, and controls every hardware component across its lifecycle
Deliver the traceability, quality, and agility essential for effective product development, manufacturing, and field support
Spearhead modernization initiatives by adopting new tools, processes, and technologies that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of hardware-related activities
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to upgrade tools, streamline processes, and expand team capabilities
Drive and implement changes that deliver measurable efficiency gains and cost savings
Effectively manage and develop the team
Ensure continuity of knowledge and expertise
Support the achievement of business objectives
Areas of responsibility include personnel and resource management, performance assessments, team career development and growth, knowledge continuity, staffing analysis, Basis of Estimate (BOE) reviews and approval
Qualification
Required
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Technical Data Packages (TDP)
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOMs) & Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOMs)
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Request for Deviations & Waivers (RFD)/Request for Variance (RFV)
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Unique Identification (UID)
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Class I (major) and II (minor) changes
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of associated operating industry standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), EIA-649C / MIL-HDBK-61
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of Manufacturing, operations, and other related organizational responsibilities and processes
Preparation, creation, maintenance, and general knowledge of DD-250 process
Certified change practitioner
Staffing analysis and Vemo knowledge
Contract/Statement of Work (SOW) interpretation
Basis of Estimate (BOE) authoring and genBOE experience
Certified Cost Account Manager (CAM)
Solid interpersonal and leadership skills
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
