Responsibilities

Research and gather video elements for shows and units across ABC News platforms

Pitch and develop ideas for new stories, content, and formats to engage our audience

Serve as shooter in the field or in the creative space as needed

Identify and implement new technologies for visual storytelling

Conduct thorough research, reporting, and editorial content management under tight deadline pressures

Collaborate closely with the Legal department and Rights and Clearances team to ensure that all video, images, and audio content are cleared for broadcast

Coordinate and organize field shoots

Required

Minimum two years of relevant professional experience or equivalent educational graduate-level experience

Proven writing skills

Genuine interest in journalism, production and digital content

Possess outstanding news judgment, attention to detail and a keen understanding of news broadcasts and the digital space

Candidates must have work authorization in the United States through 2026

Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience

Preferred

Ability to edit packages on AVID Newscutter

Ability to shoot on DV camera
