Responsibilities

Supervise daily construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards, particularly in areas involving large shafts, excavation, and Sequential Excavation Method (SEM) tunnelling

Act as the main liaison between contractors, site supervisors, and project engineers to resolve on-site issues, clarify project requirements, and ensure smooth coordination and alignment on project objectives

Enforce safety protocols and monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations specific to heavy civil and tunnelling work, including conducting regular safety inspections and initiating corrective actions for any identified risks or non-compliance

Prepare detailed daily and weekly reports on construction progress, site conditions, and any challenges encountered, maintaining comprehensive records of on-site activities, including inspections, test results, and incident reports, ensuring accurate documentation of project milestones

Identify and resolve on-site engineering and construction issues as they arise, particularly those unique to excavation and SEM tunnelling operations

Excellent skills in preparing detailed reports and maintaining comprehensive records of on-site activities
