Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and trend identification to pinpoint new growth opportunities within existing and emerging markets
Develop comprehensive strategic growth plans, including business cases, financial projections, and go-to-market strategies for new products, services, and market segments
Identify, evaluate, and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and acquisition targets that align with Airgas's growth objectives. Negotiate and manage relationships with key external stakeholders
Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, product development, and finance teams to ensure successful execution of growth initiatives. Champion growth strategies across the organization
Lead and manage strategic growth projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of defined KPIs
Track, analyze, and report on the performance of growth initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed to optimize results
Stay abreast of industry innovations, technological advancements, and best practices in strategic growth and business development, integrating relevant insights into Airgas's strategy
Gather and synthesize customer feedback and market insights to inform product development, service enhancements, and overall strategic direction

Required

Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic plans, identify market opportunities, and translate them into actionable initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, conduct financial modeling, and make data-driven decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and drive consensus
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and deliver results on time and within budget
Ability to travel up to 60% as needed for market visits, client meetings, and internal collaborations

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in strategic planning, business development, management consulting, or a similar role focused on driving growth, preferably within the industrial gases, manufacturing, or distribution sectors
