Responsibilities

Coordinate directly with the PM and Deputy Chiefs for performance planning, training, targets, and results

Lead and manage a team of Risk Mitigation Specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations

Develop, implement, and oversee risk management strategies addressing identified risk indicators

Ensure all risk management strategies meet prescribed quality standards and contain the appropriate focus, depth, and breadth of information

Engage with contractors and stakeholders to negotiate and implement risk management solutions

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice on complying with risk management requirements

Conduct peer reviews of risk management strategies drafted by less experienced team members

Monitor individual and team performance metrics against established key performance indicators (KPIs)

Provide timely dissemination of individual and team performance metrics to supervisors

Respond to requests for information from internal and external government customers

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including CFR 32, Part 117 (NISPOM), Executive Orders, DoD Instructions, and relevant public laws

Support the development and day-to-day operations of risk management processes

Document and improve processes and procedures to optimize team performance
