Research Assistant
The University of Leeds is a leading research-intensive institution seeking an early career researcher for a Research Assistant position. The role involves conducting qualitative research focused on quality of life outcomes in health research, particularly related to prostate cancer treatment perspectives.

Responsibilities
Undertaking qualitative research as part of a study called MAPP-RT (Modelling And Patient Perspectives to optimise pelvic Radiotherapy)
Working closely with colleagues from the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
Undertaking and analysing qualitative interviews with patients with prostate cancer and their caregivers
Understanding patient perspectives about radiotherapy treatment
Guiding the design of a clinical trial
Preparing person-centred information and support
Qualification
Required
A first degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology, social or health care studies
Good knowledge of qualitative research methodology
Experience with collecting, analysing and interpreting qualitative data
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well individually and within a multidisciplinary team, which includes clinicians, researchers, and a trials unit
