Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Qualitative Research Methodology

The University of Florida is seeking applications for a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Research and Evaluation Methodology in the College of Education. The successful candidate will teach applied research methodology courses in qualitative research methods and engage in service and collaboration within the academic community.

Responsibilities

Teach applied graduate-level courses in qualitative research methodology, both in person and online, to Ed.D. and Ph.D. students from a variety of disciplines
Provide service to the program, school, college, university, and the profession
Collaborate with colleagues in course development
Teach (online, blended, and/or face-to-face) applied qualitative research methodology courses (particularly classes in foundations of qualitative methods - EDF 6475 and EDF 7483) to students who have different backgrounds in research methods
Mentor and engage with graduate students, including serving on doctoral committees

Required

Doctorate in qualitative research methods, or a closely related field
Ability to teach applied research methodology courses in qualitative methods, both in person and online, to students who vary widely in prior training in qualitative research
Ability to develop applied research and evaluation methodology courses as needed
Working knowledge of multiple qualitative research traditions

Preferred

Teaching experience in qualitative research methods at undergraduate or graduate levels, either in person or online
Actively engage and offer service in professional communities
Experience in development of qualitative methods program and development of new courses
