Postdoctoral Fellow- MCG Immunology Center of Georgia

Responsibilities

Utilize computational tools to analyze and interpret experimental results and data generated within the lab
Participate in project planning, take the lead on 1-2 projects, collaborating with the team to develop research protocols and strategies. Ensuring adherence to accepted scientific principles and compliance with relevant federal guidelines
Coordinate and participate in research of scientific literature; summarize and evaluate findings; develop derivative applications of applications of techniques developed by own research activities or reported by other research projects. Present findings at scientific meetings locally, nationally, and internationally
Compose articles for publication in scientific journals. Collaborate with team members to review and refine manuscripts, ensuring accuracy and clarity in presenting project findings
Supervise and coordinate activities of students, graduate assistants and other research personnel engaged in research activities and/or related laboratory work. Collaborate with the research team and foster a collaborative and inclusive research environment
Advise principal investigator, other postdocs, students and other research personnel on research techniques, procedures, and other technological aspects of research activities. Fulfill any other research-related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and advancement of our research efforts
Perform all other related duties as assigned

Required

Ph.D. and/or M.D. from an accredited college or university
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases or willingness to learn

Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to complete work and to meet deadlines
Willingness and ability to work with research animals
Ability to work independently with only general supervision
