Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including:
Compressors
Air handlers
Evaporative condensers
Ice machines
Water pumps
Gas furnaces
Electrical and mechanical control devices
Perform preventative maintenance by identifying equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies
Service refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems to ensure reliable performance and customer satisfaction
Process job tickets and work orders accurately and in a timely manner
Support and mentor junior or less experienced technicians as needed
Maintain proper truck inventory and operate a company vehicle safely
Work on modern refrigeration systems, including CO₂ and R290
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems
Strong troubleshooting and repair background in service environments
Working knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems
Working knowledge of ice machines and gas furnaces
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components
EPA Certification required
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Ability to work independently and follow safety, company, and regulatory requirements
Basic computer skills, including email, Word, and Excel
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs without assistance
Ability to stand, sit, or work on your feet for extended periods
Compliance with all company policies and applicable state and federal regulations
Preferred
Experience servicing refrigeration equipment in supermarkets or convenience stores strongly preferred
Familiarity with single systems, rack systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes
