Procure raw materials and develop a strong supplier base

Issue rolling schedules and prioritize deliveries

Consolidate requirements and determine best purchasing methods (spot orders, contracts, blanket orders)

Maintain close contact with suppliers and resolve issues promptly

Prepare and analyze supplier performance data

Advise management on market conditions and supplier activity

Support ISO 9000 processes and vendor certification

Manage inventory levels and address slow-moving or obsolete stock

Provide purchasing support for maintenance and expense items

Attend production meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Domestic and occasional international travel required
