Responsibilities

Draft and annotate pleadings, settlement agreements, and other documents related to probate administration, fiduciary litigation, guardianship proceedings, and contested Trusts & Estates matters

Create, review, and revise practical guidance articles on Trusts & Estates topics with a focus on probate, fiduciary litigation, and guardianships

Develop checklists, charts, and other how-to guidance for contested Trusts & Estates matters

Supplement existing documents with Texas-specific practical guidance based on state law, local custom, and legal practice experience

Required

J.D. from an accredited law school

Active member in good standing of the Texas State Bar

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Texas Trusts & Estates attorney, including:

Drafting estate planning documents

Preparing pleadings and related documents

Probate administration

Fiduciary litigation

Guardianship proceedings

Other contested Trusts & Estates matters

Strong writing, editing, and legal research skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word (including track changes) and online research

Excellent communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks independently

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
