Senior Systems Engineer (Level 4)
Kaizen Approach is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead Information Assurance (IA) system, hardware, and software design efforts in support of secure mission-critical environments. In this role, you will oversee the evaluation and tracking of requirements throughout the development lifecycle to ensure all systems meet security certification and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities
Oversee the evaluation, generation, allocation, and tracking of requirements throughout the development lifecycle
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate IA considerations into system architectures and technical implementations
Conduct implementation and technology studies to assess emerging tools, methods, and system enhancements
Provide technical leadership to ensure systems are designed for both operational performance and certification supportability
Identify and fix problems within existing systems while designing, implementing, and enhancing new and current IT systems
Participate in the analysis, design, and new construction of next-generation IT systems
Understand customer needs and the realities of commercially available IT products and translate them into requirements that the development team can implement
Apply telecommunications expertise, including TCP/IP and OSI/CMIP/X.25, to systems engineering tasks
Work across operating systems including Windows, UNIX, and Linux to ensure interoperability and stability
Utilize database/DBMS technologies such as Oracle, MS Access, and Sybase, as well as enterprise applications including Tivoli and PeopleSoft
Apply ITIL and SEI/CMM principles to engineering work and provide oversight/management of systems engineering teams

Must have the ability to identify and fix problems within existing systems while designing, implementing, and enhancing new and current IT systems
Must be capable of participating in the analysis, design, and new construction of next-generation IT systems
Must possess the ability to understand customer needs and the realities of commercially available IT products and translate them into requirements that the development team can implement
Must have the ability to apply telecommunications expertise, including TCP/IP and OSI/CMIP/X.25, to systems engineering tasks
Must be capable of working across operating systems including Windows, UNIX, and Linux to ensure interoperability and stability
Must possess the ability to utilize database/DBMS technologies such as Oracle, MS Access, and Sybase, as well as enterprise applications including Tivoli and PeopleSoft
Must have the ability to apply ITIL and SEI/CMM principles to engineering work and provide oversight/management of systems engineering teams
Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience as a systems engineer on one or more IT platforms with a bachelor's degree, or a total of twelve (12) years of relevant experience with an associate's degree; must also possess DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level I certification and a Computing Environment (CE) certification such as Microsoft OS or CentOS/Red Hat OS; if assigned to Directory Services TTOs, experience with Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, Privileged Account Management (PAM) Services, and MS Exchange is required; if assigned to Desktop & Enclave Services TTOs, understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling) is required
Must have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or a total of twelve (12) years of relevant experience if a degree is not held
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required
