Responsibilities
Define and execute BAS strategy to support facilities objectives, improve service timeliness (SLA), and reduce operational costs
Lead BAS retrofit programs and ensure delivery of expected financial and operational outcomes
Collaborate with IT and external partners to continuously enhance the BAS platform and data utilization
Oversee system specifications, design, installation, testing, upgrades, and enhancements
Manage vendor performance, contracts, and service levels; negotiate pricing and drive accountability
Track work order volume and costs, ensuring systems are functioning properly through investigation and vendor follow-up
Facilitate requirements gathering and document business and functional specifications for system enhancements
Manage BAS integrators and optimize system settings to proactively resolve issues prior to field dispatch
Support internal teams in understanding and using BAS-generated data to improve business operations
Research emerging technologies and assess feasibility for future implementation
Partner with Facilities Technology leadership to analyze BAS data and present insights, recommendations, and summaries
Provide leadership, coaching, performance feedback, and development support to team members
Participate in hiring decisions and ongoing team management activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or equivalent related experience
6+ years of supervisory experience in a related technical discipline
3+ years of experience with building, mechanical, and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise systems
Experience managing budgets and external vendor networks
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Preferred
SAP
Experience with Niagara AX or similar BAS platforms
