Dakota County is Minnesota’s third largest county, and they are seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with construction staking, materials testing, and inspections for road construction projects. This position provides students with the opportunity to gain work experience in the Engineering, Construction, and Survey fields during the summer months.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Assist Transportation Construction staff with inspections of projects including roads, bridges, and trails

Assist with use of survey equipment, total station, GPS system and data collectors to complete work

Assist construction and survey crew members as apparent or assigned

Safely work on construction sites and within roadways to accomplish work
