Responsibilities

Negotiates, implements and evaluates an assigned section of BJC's portfolio of pharmacy and lab

Develops strategies for the efficient and cost effective sourcing of products and services to meet the organizational requirements

Reviews and analyzes the market, technologies, trends, and purchase history to determine the potential impacts and improvements capable in the market place

Additionally, reviews and analyzes new equipment, products, and services

Participates on best practice exchange teams or other work teams established to effect change

Works collaboratively with the buyers, distribution, end users, vendors and other departments as necessary to coordinate contract implementation and product conversions

Responsible for categories, engaging with system stakeholders ensuring internal alignment on the management of categories

Responsible for savings generation

Responsible for pricing accuracy, payables improvement, supplier contract status

Works collaboratively cross-functionally to identify the most cost effective and patient focuses products and services and coordinate contract implementation
