Site Reliability Engineer
Albert Bow is partnered with a crypto-native quantitative trading group to rebuild and secure its production platform for the next phase of scaling. You will lead a greenfield SRE programme, set platform standards, and drive reliability, performance, and security across live trading systems.
Responsibilities
Own the production platform and lead an overhaul to a platform-style approach, working closely with engineering and security
Ensure reliability, performance, and resilience of distributed services; reduce cost while improving latency and throughput
Build deployment pipelines from source control to production with change management and secure defaults
Lead incident response, post-mortems, and iterative improvements to observability and runbooks
Scope includes roughly 60% SRE and production engineering, 20% security, and 20% DevOps and developer experience
Qualification
Required
5+ years in SRE, production engineering, or DevOps with a strong engineering background
Deep Linux systems knowledge and production experience on AWS or GCP; strong networking across layers 1 to 7
Expertise with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation, plus configuration and provisioning tools
Experience running complex open-source and closed-source services including databases, message brokers, logging and observability stacks, and networking software
Proven track record building distributed, fault-tolerant, and secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines
Preferred
Experience running blockchain nodes or validators; on-prem environments with strict security and networking constraints
Optimisation for secure enclaves; DNS and BGP knowledge; ability to troubleshoot layer 2 networking issues
