Nutrition Representative

Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service to families and visitors
Ensure patients and families get the highest quality food service experience
Work in Delivery, Assembly and Call Center areas of the department
Navigate electronic health records and operate software and maintain technological devices needed to provide nutrition to patients
Process meal payments and manage electronic till
Solve or escalate customer concerns and provide information to patients about diet orders
Interpret complex diet orders and conduct simple food preparation
Deliver patient and family meals to various areas throughout the main campus
Present and set up ordered food in patient care areas according to standard work
Perform patient ID verification steps and communicate with patients and clinical staff
Perform soiled meal trays pick-up
Assemble, deliver and pick up catering orders for both main campus and outside facilities
Interpret orders from the Electronic Health Record and escalate interface issues
Receive and process incoming food orders for patients, visitors, and staff
Assist customers on restricted diet orders with selecting appropriate foods
Enter and maintain accurate patient information in nutrition software applications
Follow processes in accordance with call center standards to ensure accuracy and operational effectiveness
Frequently communicate with disciplines throughout the hospital regarding patient's nutrition care plan
Process meal service payments from various methods such as credit card, cash, and other financial aid benefits
Perform related tasks as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent experience
2 years of customer service, food service experience OR related experience OR equivalent nutrition/dietetics education
Intermediate computer skills
Washington State Food and Beverage Service Worker's Permit, or to be obtained within 1 month of employment
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Significant experience working in a healthcare/customer service environment
Healthcare food service experience or equivalent nutrition/dietetics education
Call center or similar customer service work or volunteer experience
