Regional Safety Specialist

ACCIONA Energía is committed to building a safer, more sustainable planet, and they are looking for a Regional Safety Specialist to champion safety culture across energy sites in North America. In this role, you will collaborate with site managers, deliver training, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct safety observations, lead emergency drills, and deliver on-site training
Support technicians in adopting standardized procedures, PPE use, and safety practices
Partner with site managers to identify safety gaps and implement corrective action plans
Perform internal audits and incident investigations, ensuring findings are documented and followed up
Maintain and track safety documentation in corporate systems and LMS
Ensure alignment with OSHA, ANSI, and internal standards across all regional sites
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and share lessons learned across projects and countries

Required

Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of safety experience in energy or industrial sectors; technician experience is a plus
Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, ANSI standards and auditing processes
OSHA 500 certification and ability to complete wind tower climb training
Strong communication and leadership skills
Proficiency with LMS platforms and audit reporting tools; Maximo is a plus
Valid driver's license and ability to travel 40% (U.S. & Canada)

Preferred

Spanish or French fluency is a plus
