Responsibilities
Provide operational oversight for assigned technology controls, ensuring they are designed and operating effectively
Ensure adherence to internal policies, standards, and SOX/regulatory requirements
Act as a risk consultant to control owners and stakeholders across the enterprise
Review and challenge control design to ensure adequacy and alignment with regulatory expectations
Provide guidance on control enhancements and sustainability
Support control maintenance for internal and external audit testing
Perform independent management pre-audit assessments of first-line technology controls
Evaluate process sufficiency and execution effectiveness prior to formal testing
Partner with control owners to remediate gaps ahead of audits
Identify control deficiencies or potential issues and provide effective challenge
Own remediation planning, tracking, and issue closure
Ensure timely resolution in alignment with governance standards
Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the technology risk and control domain
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness
Support implementation of solutions using Agile or standard SDLC methodologies
Qualification
Required
Experience in Technology Risk, SOX IT Controls, IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
Strong understanding of IT control frameworks and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to assess control design and operating effectiveness
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to provide independent challenge while maintaining collaborative relationships
Preferred
Experience working in Agile or SDLC environments
Familiarity with enterprise technology environments and complex systems
Prior experience supporting internal/external audits
