Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps for software development, DevOps, and ML Ops initiatives
Establish and manage automated workflows for build, test, and deployment processes
Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) to support new capability development
Develop and manage microservices, containerization, and declarative APIs
Implement data pipelines (Apache Kafka) and automated data validation routines
Support HUD in maturing architectures, technology stacks, coding standards, version control strategies, software integration points, and milestone plans
Embed security in DevOps workflows in coordination with the Senior Security Engineer
Document all processes, configuration management, and privacy/security compliance activities
Participate in AI/ML proofs of concept and scale pilots into enterprise-ready systems

Required

7+ years of DevOps engineering experience, including CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and automation
Experience developing AI/ML-enabled solutions and scaling POCs to production-ready systems
Expertise with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and API design
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform)
Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST RMF, OMB M-Memos)
Ability to pass required Federal background screening and obtain and maintain both government clearance and customer approval
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (required)
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (required)

Preferred

5+ years supporting federal IT modernization projects preferred
Previous experience supporting HUD OCIO preferred
Master's degree in related field (preferred)
Kubernetes or Docker certification (preferred)
CI/CD pipeline automation certification (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) preferred
