Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical authority for OSP design and construction standards
Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, and local codes
Oversee route evaluations, permitting, and constructability assessments
Lead engineering efforts for entire projects or designated subsections
Manage timelines, budgets, and quality metrics to ensure successful delivery
Coordinate with project managers, permitting agencies, and field teams to resolve technical issues
Act as the liaison between engineering teams, clients, and municipalities
Support proposal development, RFP responses, and strategic planning for new projects
Mentor and supervise engineers, designers, and GIS specialists
Promote process improvements and implement automation initiatives
Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 7+ years in OSP engineering

Expertise in fiber optic and copper network design
Proficiency in GIS and CAD tools (ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, Other Spatial Platforms)
Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance
