This hybrid role oversees full management company accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, AP, and allocations, while partnering with senior leadership to improve processes and controls.

Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounting: Oversee all management company accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the management company and related entities
Cash & Budget Management: Manage cash balances, intercompany activity, budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting
AP, Audit & Tax Support: Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, and expense allocations while coordinating audits and tax filings with external partners
Process & Improvements: Enhance workflows, controls, and systems while partnering with HR, Operations, Legal, IR, and Fund Accounting on firm-wide initiatives

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
8-12 years of management company accounting experience within private equity or hedge funds
Exposure to tax, corporate reporting, and multi-entity structures
Advanced Excel proficiency
Experience in ERP/GL systems such as NetSuite, Intacct, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of management company structures, intercompany transactions, corporate allocations, GAAP accounting, and compensation-related accounting
Highly organized and analytical
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail
Proactive, solutions-driven approach in fast-paced environments

Preferred

CPA strongly preferred
Experience in PE or hedge fund management company accounting
Experience in ERP/GL systems such as NetSuite or Intacct
