Human Resources & Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities
Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for clinical and administrative staff
Maintain accurate employee files
Support employee relations and promote a positive, team-oriented workplace
Ensure compliance with labor, HIPAA, and healthcare regulations
Assist with performance reviews, training coordination, and HR communications
Process biweekly payroll using HR/payroll software (QBO)
Verify timesheets, apply overtime rules, and ensure payroll accuracy
Support managers in tracking PTO, sick leave, and holiday pay
Administer health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits
Generate payroll reports, prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, and maintain tax compliance
Gather information for annual workers’ compensation insurance audit and assist with renewals of various insurance products
Perform various accounting support tasks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required
3+ years of experience in HR or payroll required (healthcare or clinic experience preferred)
Strong working knowledge of HIPAA and federal/state labor laws
Excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail
Preferred
Additional certifications (i.e. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.) preferred but not required
