Responsibilities
Process incoming files
Compile background information and prepare files for review by Chief Deputy
Complete approved or denied files, then forward to ARD Administrator for further processing
Assist Administrator with pre-hearing processing
Attend court hearings
Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, three years of job-related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic knowledge of criminal justice system
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to establish priorities and remain focused on daily operations
Accurate and detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication
Ability to be fair and consistent with applicants and victims while keeping in mind the interests of the Commonwealth
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and proceed with objectives
Familiarity with local law enforcement agencies and criminal justice agencies
Ability to follow office protocols and resolve routine problems
Able to use common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions
Flexible, with an ability to carry multiple tasks to completion
Exhibits a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new tasks
Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Professionalism, integrity, and honesty with an ability to handle confidential matters
Basic Office Suite Skills, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Explorer)
Basic Outlook Skills (email and calendar)
Ability to work extended hours, when needed
Preferred
Associate's degree in criminal justice, administration or a related field
Four or more years of law enforcement/court-related experience
Familiarity with Chester County's court system
Knowledge of the County of Chester and its political subdivisions
General knowledge and understanding of County of Chester policies and procedures
